Backup software that spans discs and burns regular file format?

Is there any backup software that will burn onto as many discs as required WITHOUT using some type of proprietary file format? I just want it burned as a regular data CD or DVD with files just like when you burn a regular disc of files, then prompt for a new disc when it’s full, continuing till all the data is backed up. Is there such a thing?
